Transportation from Incheon International Airport (ICN) to COEX
Incheon International Airport (ICN) is located about 60 kilometers (37 miles) west of COEX in the heart of Seoul's Gangnam district. There are several convenient transportation options to get from the airport to COEX:
- Airport Limousine Bus
- Duration: Approximately 60-80 minutes (depending on traffic)
- Cost: Around 15,000-16,000 KRW (approximately 12-13 USD)
- How to Use: The Airport Limousine Bus provides a comfortable and direct route from ICN to COEX. Look for bus routes that specifically list "COEX" as one of their stops (Bus 6017 is one option). Buses depart from the designated bus stops at the airport (both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2).
- Advantages: Comfortable and convenient with luggage space. This option offers a direct route to COEX, making it ideal for first-time visitors.
- AREX (Airport Railroad Express) + Subway
- Duration: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
- Cost: Around 4,150 KRW (for the AREX Express) + 1,350 KRW (for the subway)
- How to Use:
- Take the AREX Express from Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station (about 43 minutes).
- At Seoul Station, transfer to the Line 2 Green Line (Subway) toward Gangnam.
- Get off at Samseong Station (the closest subway station to COEX), which is a short walk from COEX Mall.
- Advantages: Fast and affordable, especially for those comfortable with transferring between train lines.
- Taxi
- Duration: Approximately 50-70 minutes (depending on traffic)
- Cost: Around 90,000-100,000 KRW (approximately 62-69 USD), no tip is required.
- How to Use: Taxis are available at the airport's designated taxi stands (both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2). Simply tell the driver you are going to "COEX" in Gangnam.
- Advantages: Direct and convenient, especially if you have heavy luggage or prefer door-to-door service. However, it can be more expensive, especially during peak hours when traffic is heavy.
